Simple “cream cheese” frosting

It sounds impossible but it’s true I have found a cream cheese that is not only dairy free but top eight allergen free that tastes really good!

Violife “cheese” is the diamond in the rough for the allergy world. No this isn’t an advertisement it’s just so good I have to share!

Because their cream cheese has that sweet tang that we all come to love with typical cream cheese it’s the perfect ingredient to make allergy safe “cream cheese” frosting!

First mix the “cream cheese” and softened margarine together.

Then add the powdered sugar one cup at a time. This is the messy part and don’t throw your mixer onto high or you will have nothing but a powdered sugar cloud rising in your kitchen! (I may have done this before…)

Add the vanilla extract and blend until frosting is light and fluffy.

You can use it just like any regular frosting or add a bit of non-dairy milk to create an icing.

This can be stored in an airtight container for a week in the fridge or up to six months in the freezer.
